Flirty Apron Swap

I participated in the Flirty Apron Swap -- A vintage remake. We were to take a vintage linen and remake it into an apron for our partner.I had so much fun making the apron.

Here is my reversible apron. This side with the chickens is a clothes pin style with pockets across the bottom. The middle is a cross stitch from a vintage pillow case along with vintage button and trim.

On this side.... the little chick pocket is from acorner of a vintage table cloth.

While some are busy getting their gardens ready to plant, we are expecting 2 to 3 feet of snow in the next 24 hours. So the only gardening I have been doing is in my greenhouse. I have been busy planting seeds for the last few months. Here is some pics of my progress. Hopefully this is the last of the snow and I will be able to plant them outside soon.

Jack the Rabbit is juggling his springtime bottle caps. He is a fabric sculpture sewn of muslin. He is titghtly stuffed. He is painted and stained with a wax for a primitive aged leather look. There is wire inside his ears so they will bend. He measures 21" tall from the top of his ears to the bottom of the antique sterling silver pedestal candy dish. He is juggling springtime rusty bottle-caps. There is vintage pictures on the fronts of the caps.... ....and vintage flowers on the backs of the caps.
